Project Rush is Adobe’s upcoming editing tool made for YouTube video creators

The rise of YouTube and Twitch as sources for major original video content has not gone unnoticed by companies that create tools for those video creators. We have seen new video content become a bigger factor on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, too. Adobe, the biggest name in video and photo software editing, has just announced a new tool called Project Rush (likely a placeholder name) that was created as a mobile all-in-one tool for video creators.

Project Rush will be available on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android, and is designed so that you can take your smartphone and shoot content directly into the tool, so you can start editing on your phone, or wait to use your desktop or laptop. Creators will be able to edit their clips, add filters, optimize their audio tracks, and select a title. All of your editing changes will be saved to the cloud so you can stop editing on your phone, and then continue right where you left off on your PC.
Project Rush will also allow creators to publish their videos to multiple sites all at once, which means you can post it to your YouTube channel, Twitter account and Facebook page at the same time. Adobe has put in features in the app that were first developed in its other tools, such as color correction from Premiere Pro, audio editing from Audition, or making custom titles from Adobe Stock templates.
Adobe is currently beta testing Project Rush, and you can sign up now to try out the software. The Windows, Mac, and iOS betas are available now, while the Android beta is listed as “coming soon.”
